PMO Analyst job with Dewberry
Dewberry is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst to join our multi-disciplinary team of resilience services professionals dedicated to reducing risk to flooding and hazards across the nation. This position will support the Resilience Solutions PMO, which is a growing team supporting business unit leadership as well as program and project managers, and will be responsible for financial and business matters related to projects and to our business unit. Responsibilities
Candidate will serve as a liaison between Project Managers, the Project Management Office, Business Unit leadership, and Corporate Accounting. Work responsibilities may include the following:
- Support Project Managers in regular maintenance of financial and business data, project audits, and financial problem identification and resolution. This includes job/contract set up, subconsultant requisition preparation, contract verification, cost reporting, review and verification of invoicing, adjustments to invoices, subconsultant reporting, accounts receivable tracking, collections, job close out and any other project-specific financial/business matters.
- Assist and compile backup data and documentation for monthly invoicing and reporting on tight deadlines.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, analyze, and report on issues related to project and business unit performance.
- Maintain a library of PMO documents and build a repository of project templates for both technical and management to support the project managers.
- Translate business processes into workflows and dashboards.
- Support regular business unit reporting on financial and business metrics.
- Coordinate with the Project Accountants, Business Unit Manager, and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial and accounting related matters.
- Assist as necessary with inquiries on business processes such as time entry, travel, expense reporting, and other.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience required.
- Bachelors level education preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven history of maintaining financial and business data.
- Ability to interpret data and identify issues based on trends.
- Knowledge of business contracts and invoice processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple tasks at one time, with excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines (recurring and ad-hoc).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Self-starter, with demonstrated ability to translate direction, feedback, and strategy into actionable results.
- Strong collaboration skills with employees at all levels and from various parts of an organization.
- Proactive and interested in learning more about project and business management.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Power BI preferred.
- Use and application of business tools and workflows.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning and project management systems. Experience with Deltek VantagePoint and Vision a strong plus.
